Goaltender Evgeni Nabokov has agreed to terms with the Islanders on a one-year contract extension. The deal is worth $2.75M and does not include a no-trade or no-movement clause, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com. "Evgeni has proven that he can still play at an elite level in the NHL," Islanders GM Garth Snow said in a prepared statement. "He's given us a chance to win every night and we're excited to have him back for another season."

Carcillo Gets New Two-Year Deal

The Blackhawks agreed to a two-year contract extension with forward Daniel Carcillo, who underwent knee surgery in January. "I'm excited," Carcillo said Monday. "It was obviously my goal to have a great year here. That really didn't pan out with the injury. It was kind of out my control. I'm the happiest guy in Chicago to hear I'm coming back for another two years."
